This is my last sample today.  Art Impressions "Tots on the Go" from their Jingle Tots line. I also used Christmas Cardinals (Sku#g3599) and Tots Blessed Christmas (Sku#g3597).

The last couple of weeks have been rough.  What I loved to do has been taken away and I still don't know why.  For the past 5 years or so I have volunteered at my favorite stamp store.  I loved working there...even if it was only as a volunteer.  I learned so much about marketing the products from Angie...thanks Angie.  I learned even more from Eleanor about working with the customers and the importance of each customer and seeing that they are special and filling their need was the most important thing we had to do. We were family.  Thanks Eleanor. I looked forward every day the store was opened.  For the most part it was a good time.  Well, that phase of my life is over.  I am now looking forward to what I will be doing now that I have so much free time.  Right now I am part of a new stamping group meeting at Powdersville Community Church.  I will be there every Thursday with old and new samples, teaching Copic Markers and Art Impressions water color.  There is no charge and if you know of others that would like to play with us let me know and we will put up another table. Work Out, Weight Watchers and Dancers

I have 3 new images to post today.  The first one is "Work Out" by Art Impressions UM3584:

The second image is "Out to Lunch" Art Impressions UM2576:

The stamps used here are unmounted on cushion.  When I placed the words on the acrylic block I curved them up to fit below the table.

And the last image is "Dancers" Art Impressions UM3580:

I used the Clear Spica pen on the glasses and tutu skirts.

English Countryside Watercolor

I have been working on my next batch of water color samples to send into Art Impressions. Finished the watercoloring last night....these are not done with Copic markers but with Marvy markers and water using either a palette and a brush or direct to rubber stamping. They aren't due until July 10th. Sure feels good to have them done. I still need to mat them and make them into a card....but that's the easy part. Also, Eleanor, Micki and myself got our heads together yesterday and scheduled some classes. I will post them here later.

But, the first Wednesday of the month will be doing water color "The Art Impressions Way". If you have ever wanted to get your paint brush wet and play with water color....come to the store the first Wednesday of the month for a FREE class....by me. If you have Marvy markers, water color paper, Heritage Sepia ink pad, and any Art Impressions stamps or stamp sets you would like to use....bring them. Otherwise you can pick from my collection of stamps.

Design Team

It's official. Art Impressions has my picture and bio listing me as a member of their design team. I still can't believe it. Whole new adventure for this grandma. Got to have my samples done by tomorrow....might be a long night Sunday if I don't get crackin'

It was good spending time with my friend Dorothy at the store today. She is a member of our Altered Book Club...very creative.....and a real nut! Thanks, Dorothy. Also want to thank Sam for coming in with his mom Micki...takes a lot of courage to hang around a bunch of "old" ladies but you brightened my day, Sam.

We got two orders of Copic Markers in the store this past Thursday and another order coming next Thursday. We also have a reinker station now. If you don't have appointments or responsiblities holding you back come in Thursday, get the best pick at the best price for Copics and spend the day playing with other Copic addicts in the classroom. We have fun! Stamps and More by Eleanor, Piedmont, SC. If you can't come on Thursday, there is always Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday or Saturday. I'll be there most of the time.

I will have another posting soon with a picture scan.

On this card I stamped the word "Thanks" on Graphic 45 LeRomantique 4500161 and then trimmed out the letters.
It is mounted on Bazzil Ivy and Guacamole card stock.
I used Adirondack ink ( lettuce) on the edge of the word after trimming it out.
The butterflies were cut out of the paper used above and then I coated them with Glossy Accents and attached with copper brads.

Art Impression Iris stamp Q1074 was fun to color. Loved working with the different violets and using them in different ways. Adding yellow Y13 to the leaves helps to make them more natural looking. It doesn't show much but I also added V15 violet to the tips of the leaves.
Copic Markers: G0000, G20, G21, G24; V0000, V12,V15, V17; and Y13, Y17. I outlined or shadowed using G0000.
